The weather was perfect on the night of 10 July, 2020. Comet NEOWISE took a while to show itself after sunset. It remained elusive until around 10:30pm when the icy rock could be easily seen at first in binoculars to locate it. Then is was quite easy to see with the naked eye including the tail.

As the night drew darker, the comet became more impressive. Spectacular in binoculars.! Current predictions put the comet at magnitude 1 according to CometWatch.
