The Great Orion Nebula (M42) is a true showpiece of the winter sky located in Orion. Below Orion’s Belt in what is often referred to as “Orion’s Sword”, this is one of the few nebulae that can be seen with the naked eye and easily viewed in binoculars and telescopes of all sizes.
